Synopsis

Moldy dumplings. Eat them and die. Mom loved getting something for nothing. Whatever she could sneak out of the factory, she brought home. One Winter Solstice, she happily carried back a huge sack of flour covered in green and white mold. She was going to make dumplings for the family. I told her moldy flour could contain aflatoxin, a dangerous poison. She slapped me to the floor. To prove it wasn’t poisonous, she made Dad force my mouth open and stuff the flour down my throat. I rolled on the floor in agony, screaming. I died that Winter Solstice. When I opened my eyes again, Mom was tearing open the same sack, ready to make the dumplings. I quietly went over to help. This time, I watched my family eat every last one.
