Synopsis
Six months into my pregnancy, I began dreaming of my child. She always sat with her back to me, telling me things that hadn't happened yet. A winning lottery number. A bus I mustn't take. A warning not to open the door for my aunt—who, the police told me, had died three days earlier. Everything she said came true. At last, I asked how she could know the future when she hadn't even been born. She turned around. Her face looked uncannily like mine. "Because I've lived this life seventeen times." "Then why do you keep coming back?" She smiled. "Because you kill me every time."
