Chapter 10
Edward Quan ·
The moment she held me, I couldn’t bear it anymore.
I trembled violently.
Her murmurs kept sounding beside my ear. “Oh? It tastes even better! How did that happen?”
I gripped her shoulders, digging my fingers into her skin.
“Yin Hai, you… you…”
“What?”
My mind couldn’t function.
Words came out that I would never normally dare say.
“Things… that come from my body, like tears and blood… they all taste good, don’t they?”
As she licked the tears brought on by my burning desire, she answered absently, “Mm. Yes.”
“There are other things that taste good too.”
“What? What things?”
I leaned against the great branch, gasping, my head feverish.
My reddened eyes fixed on her.
Then, slowly, I pressed her beneath me.
20
When the cultivators came in a crowd, I was clinging to Yin Hai, beyond all awareness of the world.
She held me tightly, shielding me completely, and glared at those below the tree.
She was furious that anyone dared interrupt her meal.
But they were cultivators. And after days of satisfying meals, she had enough reason left to ask me, “What shall I do with them?”
I wrapped my arms around her neck and kissed her fiercely.
She swallowed my gasps.
“Mo Jinghong, if you won’t answer, I’ll eat them all.”
“Do… whatever you like…”
I couldn’t care about anything else.
A master alchemist’s top-grade aphrodisiac had burned my reason to ashes.
I only wanted Yin Hai.
I wanted her. Wanted her. Wanted her.
She licked away my tears and smiled with perfect innocence.
“All right. You said it.”
21
I didn’t know what happened afterward.
The aphrodisiac lasted a whole day and night.
When it finally wore off, I went limp. I could no longer cling to Yin Hai and nearly fell from the branch.
She pulled me back with one hand.
She still wanted to feed on me.
Weakly, I braced my hands against her shoulders.
“Yin Hai… I can’t take any more…”
“I have more of those pills. Shall I give you another?”
“Do you want me dead?”
“What? You can take energy-restoring pills, but not aphrodisiacs?”
“No!”
“Why?”
I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
“You just can’t.”
“Tsk.”
She pouted.
A little later, she apparently found a solution and leaned in to kiss me.
“Fine. A little saliva will do.”
I had no words.
I was doomed.
What had I taught her?
That damned aphrodisiac had ruined me!
Dazed in her arms, I looked down beneath the tree.
Only then did I vaguely remember someone arriving while we were making love.
“Yin Hai, did someone come here earlier?”
“Yes.”
“Then… stop kissing…”
I pushed her away.
Reluctantly, she withdrew.
“What? You won’t even let me eat now?”
“I asked whether someone came here.”
“Didn’t I say yes?”
“Where are they? What did they want?”
“Don’t know.”
She didn’t care. She leaned in to kiss me again.
I turned aside, and her kiss landed on my cheek.
“Mo Jinghong!” She glared. “You dare refuse me food?”
“Explain first, then eat! You aren’t hungry now. Stop pretending!”
She clenched her jaw.
“What do you want to know? Hurry.”
“Where did they go?”
“I ate them.”
I gaped in horror.
Taking advantage, she kissed me again. I struggled angrily.
“Stop… stop kissing!”
She ignored me, pinning me against the branch and kissing so fiercely my tongue hurt.
I beat at her.
“You aren’t hungry. Stop!”
“No, I’m not. But I want to. Is that forbidden?”
My hands stopped.
“What are you saying…?”
“Mo Jinghong, I like how you taste.”
She murmured against my lips, kissing me again and again.
“Let me have a little more. Please…”
Her hands wandered over me.
I held her, breathless.
“The exit will open soon. Let’s get out first, then…”
“All right. Whatever you say…”
Her mouth agreed. Her hands never stopped.
This overbearing, unreasonable creature had even learned how to coax me now.
22
We had barely returned to the Beast-Taming Sect when the sect leader arrived with disciples and surrounded us.
They glared furiously.
Unsure what he intended, I didn’t dare act rashly.
Yin Hai disliked hostility. Her face immediately darkened.
I hurriedly held her.
“Yin Hai, don’t touch them without my permission.”
She looked down at me and raised an eyebrow.
“Understood…” Her tone turned teasing, mischief filling her eyes. “Master.”
My face burned.
My junior sister pushed through the crowd. At the sight of me, her eyes widened.
“Why are you still alive?”
I raised my eyebrows too.
Interesting.
“Should I be dead? Have you lost your mind, Junior Sister? I’ve only just made it back from the realm. You needn’t ask how I am, but cursing me to die the moment you see me seems rather inappropriate.”
The sect leader spoke coldly. “If you’re alive, you still have the things. Hand them over.”
I turned from her to him.
“What things?”
“Stop playing dumb, Mo Jinghong. You won’t keep so many treasures for yourself! You’re only at Nascent Soul. Aren’t you afraid you’ll choke trying to swallow them all? Hand them over, or this sect will be the first to turn against you!”
I looked at him.
“My contract beast won those treasures. In other words, I won them. An opportunity belongs to whoever takes it. What right have you to demand them? You’ve entered secret realms plenty of times. When did you ever share your treasures with us?”
“I won’t waste words. The whole cultivation world knows what you took. Give them up, and our sect can protect you. Keep being stubborn, and when the other sects surround us, we’ll have no choice but to expel you. Don’t blame us for being heartless.”
I threw back my head and laughed.
His face went pale. “What are you laughing at?”
I glanced at him and said nothing.
I wrapped my arms around Yin Hai’s neck.
“Let’s go!”
She lifted me with one arm. Before anyone could react, she shot into the clouds and vanished.
She flew so fast I barely heard the sect leader’s furious shout.
“After them! Go!”
23
I asked her to pass my master’s Tianxing Peak.
Just as I expected, before confronting me, the sect leader had confined my master there behind a barrier.
Otherwise, how could she have failed to defend me?
Yin Hai swallowed the barrier in one bite.
Hearing the commotion, my master looked up.
“Jinghong! Are you all right?”
“Master, come with us!”
