Synopsis

After my divorce, my sister introduced me to a divorced man with a son. The father looked ordinary enough, but his boy was strikingly handsome, like a young prince from an old European portrait. There was something wrong, though. No one could explain it clearly. He was at risk of taking his own life and needed someone to keep an eye on him. His father worked at sea and earned more than a million yuan a year, my sister told me. He came home only twice a year, for a little over ten days at a time. If we married, he would send all his earnings home to me. All I had to do was look after his son and keep him safe.
